First Commercial ISP and IP Address

OPSA launched Poland's first commercial Internet service, and the Institute of Nuclear Physics received Poland's first IP address.

PIONIER Network

The PIONIER network was launched, connecting Polish academic institutions to international academic networks through a 9.6 kbps satellite link.

ARPANET Connection

Polish academic networks began connecting to international networks through ARPANET, allowing Polish researchers to access global computing resources.
